  When my daughter was born in 2020, Starlink had not arrived in Australia, ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini were not publicly available, non stop flights from London to Perth had been running for less than two years, and I am willing to bet that most people had not heard of Revolut.

  Advances in technology are changing the world around us at an unprecedented pace. From lightning-fast internet in the middle of nowhere, the use of AI to create a frictionless immigration process, to the very real possibility of travelling between London and Sydney in two hours or less, this level of disruption and change has not been seen since the Industrial Revolution.

  The way my daughter travels when she is 20 will be vastly different from how she travels today. The opportunities for success that technology offers to tourism in regional Australia are immense, but to benefit tomorrow, we have to act today.
