I have a passion for regional tourism, with over 10 years’ management experience in visitor servicing, marketing and tourism development within local government and regional tourism organisations in Victoria and Queensland. I am Coordinator at Sarina Sugar Shed, but currently seconded to a new project management role to oversee its redevelopment.

My background is in communications and marketing, having worked in the media industry for 10 years, before pursuing my love for tourism. I also have 10 years of vocational education experience, teaching across tourism, hospitality and events courses, including stints in Abu Dhabi and Shanghai.

I have sat on various tourism committees, including Vice President of Queensland Information Centres Association, Secretary of Tourism Macedon Ranges, and briefly President of Phillip Island Tourism Association. I am currently Secretary of Queensland Distillers Association and a Board member of Mackay Isaac Tourism. I am also a state tourism awards judge in New South Wales (9 years) and Queensland (4 years).

I hold a Bachelor of Business in Travel & Tourism Management, a Certificate in Public Relations, and a Masters in Communications. I am also a certified trainer and assessor.
