Staff to Visitor Ratios
Over the last 12 months our staff planning has been a relative un-know with a new Visitor Centre and new Destination Marketing Organisation I have used fair amount of guess work, some of the time we have been on the money and other times not so much. With 12 months of visitor data to play with I am able to reasonably accurately predict who many visitors will come into the centre and at what times.
What I’m interested in is if any VC’s on here use a staff to visitor ratio to plan staffing levels (ie 1 staff member can service 150 visitors in a day). If you do what is it and how did you arrive at that number?
