The Role
Discovery Holiday Parks is embracing the new normal and is undertaking an historic transformation to build the Park experience of the future. Accordingly, significant investment is being made into the marketing strategies in the regional communities of our parks’ network. Working in collaboration with our dedicated and enthusiastic Park Managers and the Regional Operations Managers, you will drive the business forward by developing and delivering marketing and sales strategies to meet revenue objectives. You will be the driving force behind our parks’ promotion and distribution via multiple channels. Dealing day to day with media planning and buying, in park events, consumer direct campaigns, social media engagement and interaction and seasonal pricing strategy, this diverse role will be both challenging and rewarding.
This dynamic opportunity will challenge your commercial experience to ensure you question current strategies and provide insight into new trends, especially in the digital space.
This role will require you to:
- Working across a wide marketing skill set, both traditional and digital
- Leverage partnership opportunities in the tourism industry relating to park portfolio
- Provide solutions and work cross functionally to meet park and regional revenue targets
- Effectively launch new and redeveloped assets to meet business targets
- Assist in the development of park centric content designed to optimize ranking and drive booking conversion
- Effective reporting on outcomes (leveraging existing business reporting and scorecards)
Your Experience
You will have tertiary qualifications in Marketing and tourism industry experience. You will pride yourself on your organisation skills and your ability to switch priorities on short notice. You have a particular interest in budgeting and market forecasting and their relationship to successful outcomes. Your strategic thinking is of the highest order and your campaign implementation coordination is second to none.
You will possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, autonomy, initiative, flexibility and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at Discovery Parks. Your naturally upbeat and open style will fit our cultural values. You will have a highly organised mindset with the ability to assess the urgency of work allocated to you by various stakeholders.
