    Who are we?

    We are Mingara, the greatest Club on the Central Coast, offering a diverse range of facilities. As well as restaurants, cafes, bars, gaming, TAB, Keno, promotions and events, we also have a world-class gym, indoor Olympic pool, an international standard athletics track and a wellness precinct with hairdresser, beautician, physiotherapist and martial arts studio.

    We are looking for a friendly, energetic, adaptable leader to join our Events Team. This is a full time opportunity that provides potential for someone who is looking to build a career within an organisation that values the development of great leadership. With a positive and uplifting attitude, our ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in customer service and the delivery of a high quality customer experience.

    Purpose of the Role
    • Leadership and coordination of the Event Centre customer service team and events kitchen team
    • Leading with a hands-on approach including full service and set up and pack down of events
    • Thinking on your feet to problem solve with a customer focus
    • Create memorable experiences for customers
    • Relationship building with local market clients as well as the development of new business opportunities and lead generation to a varied customer base
    • Involvement in the marketing and sales lead generation for the Event Centre in conjunction with the Destination Marketing Manager
    • Food and beverage management including cost control, menu creation, pricing, presentation, quality and consistency in conjunction with our Chef team including Executive Chef.
    • Rostering of team and wage control
    • Coach, motivate and encourage team members
    • Monitoring compliance with all legislative requirements and Club policies, with an emphasis on hygiene, food handling, responsible service of alcohol and workplace safety
    • Ensure the team maintain a clean and safe environment
    • Monthly reporting

    To succeed in this role
    • A minimum 3 years experience in team leadership, including managing and training staff
    • At least 2 years experience in a similar role with proven understanding of events operations from back-of-house to front-of-house delivery.
    • Experience in sales and marketing of an events business
    • Experience in financial management and responsibility for profit and loss
    Relationship building with suppliers and stakeholders including security, entertainers, decorators, etc.
    • A high standard of presentation and exceptional communication skills
    • Flexibility and availability across the operating hours of the Club
    • Current RSA and RCG certificates
