    The Economic and Community Development Department exists to champion and support local businesses so they may prosper. We do this through the provision of a variety of services and products. The work we do is vital to helping create jobs, building a vibrant economy, and contributing to community wellbeing.

    The Economic and Community Development Manager is responsible for service delivery in the areas of economic development, investment attraction, tourism, event and community grants, community development and planning, sport and recreation and project inception and development.

    All about you The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge, experience and proven success in a similar senior economic development and tourism role. A demonstrated high level of commercial acumen, innovation and entrepreneurial flair and well developed communication and interpersonal skills is essential. With demonstrated values based leadership approach and extensive experience, you will be outcome focused with the ability to work broadly across the organisation and manage complex stakeholder relationships.

    Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline and a police check are also required.

    This permanent full time position attracts a senior executive officer salary commencing at $120,000 negotiable. In addition, superannuation is paid at 11%.
