    Position Vacant: Media & Communications Officer – Moranbah

    About the role

    Isaac Regional Council (IRC) is seeking an energetic and forward-thinking Media & Communications Advisor to join our Brand, Media & Communications team, based in Moranbah.
    This position reports to the Manager, Brand, Media & Communications and is responsible for assisting with media interactions in addition to creation of marketing & communications programs to enhance the public profile of Isaac Regional Council. This role will see the successful candidate compile, edit, publish, print and deliver media releases, communication plans and provide key support to the Brand, Media and Communications team.

    For this position we offer

    • Base Salary between $66,856.61 – $71,348.54
    • Nominally 36.25 hours per week
    • 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
    • 12% super (in accordance with policy)
    • Fortnightly RDO’s in accordance with Council’s policy

    About you

    We are seeking a motivated Media & Communications Officer, with 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role or within the media space, must have a solid understanding of media and public relations, well developed written and oral communication skills, coupled with tertiary qualifications or working towards gaining qualifications within Marketing, Media or Communications.
