What you’ll be doing…
You will complete a Certificate III Events over 24 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with the Host Employer.
Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:
- Provide administration support to the Community Facilities and Events Teams
- Update the booking system across Council providing relevant information, pricing and notifying relevant users of upcoming bookings
- Prepare monthly accounts for relevant bookings for the Community Facilities Team as required
- Prepare sports field allocations and update the corporate booking management system
- Prepare weekly/monthly upcoming bookings sheets for Community Facilities staff
- Attend to telephone, face to face and general enquiries for Operations
- Compose correspondence, forms, procedures and templates, as required
- Create Purchase Requisitions and receipt delivery of goods as requested
- Assist with Council events, functions, meetings and workshops as required
- Carry out other duties that are within the limits of the employees skills, competence and ability as required by Goulburn Mulwaree Council
What you’ll bring to the table…
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have the following:
ESSENTIAL
- Higher School Certificate or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
- Demonstrated Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of products (in particular Word and Excel)
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to emulate Council’s values of pride, passion, respect, innovation, dedication and excellence and deliver the organisation’s mission “to be easy to do business with’
DESIRABLE
- Local Government experience
- Interest in the development of events, including event logistics and management
