Working Holiday Opportunities: Jobs on The Outback Loop

Gap years overseas may be on pause but a working holiday in the Outback could be the adventure you didn’t know you needed.

Working in remote areas can be challenging, but it can be a lot of fun too. You can see an extraordinary side of Australia, meet fantastic people, and make connections that can last a lifetime.
During the cooler months, The Outback Loop attracts a fantastic crowd who come to enjoy the region’s natural wonders, quirky towns and iconic events like the Birdsville Races, Finke Desert Race and the Big Red Bash.

Businesses require energetic, experienced team players. Service can be fast paced, especially around events, and workers need to be supportive of each other and do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Events Manager Georgie McQuade has enjoyed a few stints working on the Loop, including working holidays at the Innamincka Hotel and the Birdsville Hotel.

“Every person you greet is always happy, and why wouldn’t they be? They are on holiday in one of South Australia’s most beautiful and remote locations, and they’re about to get a cold beer in an iconic Australian outback pub”.
