    For over 30 years this iconic travel operator has been delighting its customers with a unique and unforgettable experience. Having surged back to life post-Covid, with booking levels nearing all-time highs, now is a unique time to join in a role that will oversee and guide the company-wide digital strategy.

    Reporting to the CMO and managing a team of 2 direct reports (social & content; website & automation), this person will play a critical role in attracting and engaging customers whilst ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user experience across all digital touchpoints. You will be supported by in-house design & development, along with external agencies (creative, media, digital).

    Here are some of the things you can expect to do:

    – Plan and guide digital marketing budget and activities, to attract and engage customers through innovative use of paid media, content, organic social and owned assets
    – Create a roadmap for the continual improvement of all digital assets and touchpoints, with a focus on funnel optimization and conversion
    – Manage, nurture and develop two very capable direct reports
    – Measure, analyze and report on all digital activityRevamp and evolve marketing automation activities

    This role sits within a marketing team that offers a warm, supportive culture in a business where people stay for the long-term. Everybody is a doer and there is no hierarchy of delegation. We are looking for somebody who leads from the front and loves being involved in the day to day work.

    What we’re looking for:

    – eCommerce Leadership. You have overseen a transactional eCommerce platform that delivers a significant percentage of business revenue (ideally 8 figures)
    – People management. You have management experience and demonstrate the ability to lead and nurture team members, with a democratic style
    – Digital Marketing. You have planned and facilitated large-scale digital marketing campaigns with both brand and performance objectives
    – Digital Optimisations. Conversion, funnels, user journeys, personas, navigation, UX, data analysis. You understand these concepts and how they are applied to optimise digital platforms to drive revenue
    – Marketing automation. You have planned and overseen the development of automation, journeys and triggers as part of a sophisticated omnichannel strategy (bonus points if you used salesforce marketing cloud)

    *An important note about the office location*
    Currently, the office is based within 5kms of the CBD, however, in late 2022 business operations will relocate to Geelong. Currently, scenarios are being explored that will allow blended working (eg. a satellite office close to Melbourne CBD). Whatever the outcome, we anticipate the need for staff to spend at least 2-3 days a week working from the Geelong office, with the remainder to be decided (remote, satellite).

    Salary is 110-120k + super.
