POSITION VACANT: Project Manager – Regional Tourism
Visit Northern Tasmania is seeking an experienced project manager to work collaboratively across the region, and with our State partners, to assist in delivering a series of projects central to the region’s tourism recovery.
The role, funded via the Federal Government’s Regional Tourism Recovery program, will see the right person working to the CEO, ensuring projects in the areas of agri-tourism, events, new and diversified visitor experiences and others are delivered efficiently and effectively.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Qualifications in business marketing, tourism or related discipline/field and/or equivalent industry experience
- A proven track record in coordinating requirements across multiple projectsSolid knowledge and understanding of the visitor economy in Tasmania
- A demonstrated proactive approach to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills.
This is a fixed term position, initially through until 31 May 2022.
