NVS MONTHLY SNAPSHOT – April 2021
This month’s results are compared with April 2019 rather than April 2020. At the height of the pandemic in April 2020, Australians:
- took only 1.6 million overnight trips (down 86% on April 2019)
- spent only $666 million due to lockdown restrictions (down 91% on April 2019).
This was a large deviation from the usual pre-pandemic levels.
