    In a joint media release on 27 July between the Hon Dan Tehan, Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment and Senator the Hon Jonathon Duniam, Assistant Minister for Forestry and Fisheries, Assistant Minister for Industry Development, the Morrison Government has announced it is providing $5.14 million to fund new tourist attractions in Tasmania to attract more visitors to the island and support local jobs and business opportunities.

    The eight projects supported by the funding include:

    1. Wild Tamar Adventure Offering
    2. Table Cape Lightshow
    3. Riding the Mountain – mountain bike trail
    4. Blue Derby Green Flow Trail – mountain bike trail
    5. Heritage Interpretation – REASSIGN
    6. Bay of Fires Trail – mountain bike trail
    7. Bicheno Beams
    8. Wild Mersey Trail, Sky Rider and Look Out

    The funding is provided through the Recovery for Regional Tourism (RRT) Program – part of the Morrison Government’s $1 billion COVID-19 Relief and Recovery Fund.
