The Colac Otway Shire is a richly diverse area located two hours west of Melbourne. Colac Otway is one of the most picturesque municipalities in Victoria, covering a diverse area from volcanic lakes, craters and plains in the north, through the hinterland forests of the Otway Ranges to the Great Ocean Road coastline.
Colac Otway Shire Council is seeking a to recruit an Events & Project Officer for a integral permanent full time position within the Economy and Business Enterprises department.
As the Events and Project Officer you will supports the development and delivery of a range of events held within the Shire. The position works closely with event organisers, external agencies and across Council departments to support the delivery of events throughout Colac Otway Shire. This position is responsible for ensuring event compliance in accordance with Council policy and procedures. The role also supports the delivery of projects and programs within the Economic Development and Tourism team as required.
The successful candidate will require tertiary qualifications in Events Management or similar, or extensive relevant industry experience, and have highly developed organisation skills, written and verbal interpersonal skills.
