    About the role

    Coordination conferences, weddings and events – from start to finish (yes some weekend work will be required)

    Work closely with our clients to ensure that their meeting and event needs are being met and expectations exceeded

    Communicate all the important information to the hotel teams to ensure that they are prepared and aware of the events requirements

    Attend and actively participate in weekly team meetings – keep all that information circulating to ensure everything goes well on the day

    Use all opportunities to up sell to drive sales to ensure conversion targets and budgets are achieved and monitor success on a weekly/monthly basis

    Work with the entire operations team to ensure high quality, impeccable service and experience is provided

    About you –

    Event coordination experience is desirable (but not essential)

    Knowledge of OPERA Sales & Marketing systems desirable (but not essential)

    Ability to offer outstanding service by providing the real deal to clients (this is a deal breaker)

    Strong administration, communication and coordination skills, especially in regards to the meeting of deadlines

    Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

    The ability to find the “yes” in every situation, precise attention to detail and exceptional customer service skills

    Excellent communication skills and professional telephone manner

    A friendly, outgoing personality and a high standard of personal presentation

    Excellent time management skills.
