Mudgee Region Tourism (MRT) is the lead local tourism organisation responsible for the destination’s visitor servicing, industry capability development and destination marketing and they are currently looking for one of Australia’s most visionary and driven leaders to lead and deliver key strategic and operational initiatives.
With the long-term focus on sustainable development of the region’s visitor economy, you will be the key driving force behind delivering, managing and monitoring the 5-year Destination Management Plan. Reporting to a voluntary skills based Board you will be responsible for maximising destination awareness and conversion within identified target audiences, increasing overnight visitors to the region, leading support and capability development for local industry partners and elevating memorable experiences for visitors to the Visitor Information Centre/Mudgee Arts Precinct, enabling economic development while maintaining the cultural integrity of the region.
