    The Tourism and Economic Development Manager encourages, inspires and leads innovation and creativity in the tourism and economic development areas of Council to:

    • Promote and facilitate economic development, tourism, business and employment.

    • Promote and facilitate community development to revitalise the communities of the Oberon LGA.

    • Assist in the implementation of Economic Development and Visitor Economy Strategic Plans as well as the subsequent review and maintenance of the plans.

    • Actively deliver projects in line with the Tourism and Economic Development initiatives outlined in Council’s strategic documents and make appropriate recommendations to the Corporate Services Director.

    • Engage with the business community to drive Council’s Economic Development initiatives.

    • Overall management including day to day operations of the Oberon Visitor Information Centre

    Medical Requirements – The successful applicant will be required to satisfactory complete a pre-employment medical examination
