Expression of Interest: Event Management – North of the Murray Event Series
Federation Council is seeking expressions of interest from an event manager to plan, promote, and coordinate the North of the Murray Event Series held in Corowa, Howlong, Mulwala, and Urana, in the Federation LGA.
The North of the Murray Event Series is to be conducted by the end of December 2023. The event is being designed to reconnect the community, and further advance the 2023 calendar of events for North of the Murray. Drawing visitors to our 4 central towns of Corowa, Howlong, Mulwala and Urana.
It is anticipated that events will feature live music, market stalls, children’s entertainment, food stalls and the possibility to include local community groups, local schools, and attractions.
The key objective is to increase visitation and brand awareness, and grow the visitor economy across North of the Murray, along with supporting Federation’s post-disaster communities. Considering the recent impacts of flood events and COVID-19 on the tourism industry, it is critical to support the events sector and create awareness of not only this event, but the North of the Murray brand, and the region, to strengthen demand and rebuild the visitor economy for all stakeholders.
The North of the Murray Series is to be a family-oriented event focused on helping communities and businesses to recover from the impacts of COVID 19 restrictions, border closures and cumulative natural disasters and impacts, including flood events. The event has been funded via the NSW Government Community Event Program, with support from Federation Council.
A response is requested by COB Tuesday 20 June 2023. The response should include a proposed timeline, quotation for the deliverables outlined in the EOI document, and any other relevant information.
