  Are you a great communicator with a track record of working alongside business partners building relationships and achieving outstanding results?

  Fraser Coast Tourism & Events has a vacancy for an experienced Tourism Development & Partnerships Officer to join the team working alongside industry to build on the region’s reputation as one of Australia’s best tourism destinations.

  We operate in the pristine water playground of the Great Sandy Marine Park, protected by the largest sand island in the world, K’gari (Fraser Island), located only 3-4 hours’ drive for 70% of Queensland’s population living in the south-east corner of the State, and linked by direct flights to all east coast capital cities.

  You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be experienced in working with partners and stakeholders, capable of working to deadline in delivering multiple projects, and be confident in selling the region at caravan and camping shows and at trade events.

  You will be working from modern offices in Hervey Bay with people passionate about making a difference and telling the remarkable stories that set the Fraser Coast apart as a tourism destination.

  You will have spent at least five years in the workforce and be able to showcase your past work in partnership development and relationship building, and demonstrate your knowledge and experience of digital platforms, data base management systems and technologies. Previous experience in the tourism industry will give you a decided advantage.

  Currently the Fraser Coast receives more than 1.8m visitors each year who spend more than $875m on accommodation, tours and leisure activities.
