ART Monthly Catch Up Follow up (April)

Thanks everyone who was able to join us today and to our wonderful moderator Alysia Brandenburg (ARTRTA*) and to Leigh Sorenson of Tourism Australia (and the ART Board) for his detailed briefing on the National Experience Content Initiative (NECI).

Katrina Denoux (ARTRTA*) will be doing a more detailed review of NECI in a post on Resources for Operators on the Hub next week (w/c April 26). However, as we had promised on the chat that we would share the link you can find it here

Beyond its immediate value to the businesses that get content via NECI we discussed how it will demonstrate the value of good content. Till that data shows up though ART has some great content from AirBnb on the dollar value of great content.

As well as creating demand, we discussed the skills shortages that are besetting the industry and a need to think about this more inventively. Peter Freeman of Woof Media (ARTRTA* and ART board member) shared a recruitment campaign he is running for The Outback Loop. This reframes the working holiday for Aussies and creates compelling and emotive reasons for joining – the best kind!

On the subjects of Experience Development and Resourcing, be sure to check out (ARTRTA*) Ali Uren’s Post on High Value Work.
