    Position Vacant: Birdsville Tourist Park Manager & Birdsville Lodge Manager

    Applications are invited from suitably experienced candidates for the position of Birdsville Tourist Park Manager & Birdsville Lodge Manager. We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified persons to manage operated Birdsville Tourist Park (incorporating budget rooms, standard cabins, deluxe cabins, and powered and unpowered sites) and Birdsville Lodge (a 49 ensuited room Lodge) are exciting places to work.

    The Diamantina Shire Council seeks two people to co-manage the two sites. The two Managers will share responsibilities for all operations of the facilities, including (but not limited to):

    • Reception/reservations, including group bookings
    • Maintenance
    • Grounds keeping, gardens and aesthetic appeal
    • Cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning!

    To be successful in these roles:

    • you will have a background in tourism and hospitality, with management experience of a regional/remote Tourist Park facility; and
    • you are motivated, positive and willing to serve the many travellers who frequent Birdsville; and
    • you are adaptable and flexible

    A competitive remuneration package is offered ($83,823 to $98,823 depending on allowances and bonuses), including above award wages and 6 weeks’ annual leave. A comfortable home is available onsite at the Birdsville Tourist Park rent free, including electricity and internet.
