Fixed to 23/02/2022 in Alice SpringsNorthern Territory Business Events (NTBE) is a business unit within Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade and is responsible for marketing the Northern Territory as a competitive, distinctive and meaningful destinations for domestic and international business events. NTBE operates as a small geographically dispersed team with staff located in Alice Springs, Darwin, Melbourne and Sydney.
NTBE is seeking a Business Events Officer to fill a 12 month maternity leave role. The successful candidate will possess strong administration skills, high attention to detail and experience in engaging industry stakeholders to support the team to deliver in-destination and in market activities. The role is responsible for creating custom bid documents, site inspection itineraries, customised reports, data entry, assisting with administration of the Business Events Support Fund and hosting prospective clients on site inspections. A proactive approach to seeking out confirmed events for Central Australia, to provide assistance to business event planners, is necessary as is a proactive attitude along with a willingness to support the team in a variety of administrative tasks. A high out of hours commitment to facilitate site inspections and attend local networking events is also required.
This position will be based in Alice Springs and will report to the Trade and Market Engagement Manager, NTBE.
