Taronga is looking for driven and motivated Guest Experience Officers who are interested in joining a leading organisation in conservation, animal management and transformational guest experiences.
About the role…
Taronga prides itself on guest experience and is seeking motivated individuals to deliver a full range of tours and activities to zoo guests.
Using various activities and means of communication, you will educate zoo guests about the Zoo’s animal collection, captive breeding programs and research projects, while demonstrating the highest quality of customer service.
About you…
To be on the forefront for this exciting opportunity you will demonstrate an ability to:
- Conduct guided tours of Taronga Western Plains Zoo’s animal exhibits and ‘behind the scenes’ areas in accordance with established procedures.
- Educate visitors about the Zoo’s animal collection, captive breeding programs and research projects.
- Present a select range of approved animals ensuring correct animal handling techniques to enhance visitor experience.
- Comply with Taronga’s Customer Service Charter and suggest initiatives for further improvement to ensure industry leading standards are maintained.
- Comply with and suggest sustainability practices in the workplace to help achieve Taronga’s sustainability targets and reduce environmental impact.
- Comply with and report any Work, Health and Safety incidents in line with Taronga’s Work, Health and Safety Charter.
