    Tourism Moree is searching for an outstanding candidate to be their Chief Executive Officer.
    The CEO will report to the Chair and work closely with the Board, leading and supporting a
    committed and dedicated team.

    Position: Permanent Full-Time
    Location: Moree
    Total Remunerations Package: From $137,820.00 – $153,360.00 – dependant on
    qualifications and experience, and inclusive of superannuation, private use of vehicle & phone
    allowance.

    The role of CEO of Tourism Moree is to manage the strategic direction of Moree and region under
    the guidance of the Tourism Moree Board. It is also to work in close cooperation with the Moree
    Plains Council and Councillors and in conjunction with the Regional Tourism Association. The role
    is to develop and implement long and short term operational plans to ensure the strategic
    direction is achieved.

    Communicating and implementing the vision for Tourism in the Moree Plains under the direction
    of the Tourism Moree Board and the Destination Management Plan – through excellence in
    marketing, position the Moree Plains as a desirable and sustainable tourism destination for
    visitors, provide economic benefit and value for members, the community and tourism sectors.
    The successful applicant is required to be proactive; have HR skills and the ability to lead a team;
    have a passion for the region; be a creative and free thinker; be proficient in grant application
    writing and event management; have the ability and freedom to travel to conferences, trade
    shows, local festivals etc; organisational skills; be prepared to be involved in the community and
    preferably live in the district.

    The CEO is expected to identify, manage and monitor all key result areas to ensure member
    satisfaction, growth, statutory compliance, and ongoing systems improvement.
    Success in this role will require; the capacity to build and maintain strong relationships and
    networks, commercial savvy, a collaborative approach, and demonstrated knowledge of
    destination marketing.

    It’s a role that offers autonomy, variety and challenge, while providing the opportunity for the
    successful candidate to flex their full range of leadership skills.
