The Tourism industry is vital to the Sunshine Coast. Visit Sunshine Coast (VSC) is the Regional Tourism Organisation for the Sunshine Coast tourism region.
VSC promotes the Sunshine Coast through strategic brand and tactical marketing activities, planning and development support. With visitor numbers exceeding the State average and exciting industry developments ahead, the appointment of the CEO is a key priority for the Board.
As CEO you will be responsible for meeting the strategic direction set by the Board in collaboration with the management team. As the face of VSC you will build on strong working relationships with all VSC stakeholders. Leading, developing and leveraging a high performing team who operate within a cohesive culture will be critical to your success.
This is a highly visible and influential role where you will be required to manage a number of competing priorities by taking an evidence-based approach. The ability to identify and secure future revenue and funding streams, key partnerships and alliances will be of critical importance to ensure the future sustainability of VSC. You will be strong in corporate governance having supported Boards through the provision of strategic advice encapsulated in high quality and relevant Board information reports.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will be an experienced leader with considerable achievements in destination marketing, place making and branding and tourism development. Wide industry networks will be valued. As a strategic and creative thinker, you are at the forefront of digital and social media initiatives and your level of commercial acumen will ensure you relate to the operating environment faced by the Tourism Industry. Relevant under and post graduate tertiary qualifications will be well regarded.
