Qualifications & experience
- A background in Hospitality would be advantageous
- Minimum one year in event coordination
- Willingness to work well in a team environment
Responsibilities
As the Community & Events Officer, you should be well organised and skilled in assisting to coordinate our events including logistics, for our club. You must have excellent presentation and communication skills. Your time management will be excellent which goes hand in hand with multi-tasking.
Duties
- Reporting to the marketing manager
- Assisting the Marketing Department, Functions Manager in times of need;
- Use of Club Communication Apps Teams
- Relieving and performing other duties as directed by supervisor or Management.
- Minimum 1-year experience in an communities & event coordination role is preferred
- Ability and to communicate through PA systems and microphone
- Have skills in organising and coordinating several events simultaneously
- Negotiation skills
- Have excellent skills in both verbal and written communication
- Be proactive and think outside the square
- Be bright, enthusiastic, confident and a fast learner
- Work under pressure
- Meet deadlines
- Availability to work when business needs, ie Monday – Sunday including public holidays
- Multi-task and manage your time excellently
- Maintain open and honest communication with all club personnel
- Provide quality Customer Service
- Establish and conduct business relationships
- Coordinate all aspects of Community & Events when on site.
