We’re looking for the best Content & Social Media Coordinator to join the Reptile Park team! The Australian Reptile Park is one of Australia’s most iconic and reputable tourist attractions providing the best family fun day out! We’re looking for a motivated, proactive and suitably experienced individual to who wants to work in an exciting, fast paced tourism environment.
The Australian Reptile Park’s social media channels have a combined 2.3 million followers worldwide. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to run one of Australia’s premier social media profiles. The ideal and successful applicant will:
- Development of content across all digital and tradition media, inclusive of social media
- Take on a leadership role for social media content creation, and editing across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitter
- Staying current with industry knowledge and social trends to garner media interest
- Be innovative in the way you create content
- Staying ahead of the game and suggesting/ implementing new and emerging platforms
- Have the ability to turn videos around at a fast past and with high quality
- Be able to identify and use correct voice to promote product on social media
- Assist in identifying and developing strategies for target markets implementing a focused approach to the core Sydney family market
- Work alongside Senior Management to improve the Australian Reptile Park tourism product
- Produce collateral (both internal staff comms and with potential visitors)Have the ability to approach and liaise with influencers
To succeed in this role, you’ll have:
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in social media marketing
- Solid experience using Facebook Creator Studio and Business Manager
- Experience in posting for businesses on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitter
- Editing experience in either Premier Pro and/or Final Cut Pro
- Filming and photography experience using SLR cameras
- Tertiary marketing and/or tourism qualifications desirable
- Motivation with an emphasis on problem solving
- Solid media contact list desirable, with ability to successfully pitch to relevant media channels
- Basic computer skills including excel, word, and outlook
- Ability to work under pressure – deadlines
- Graphic design skills desirable
- Excellent public relations skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- High organisational skills
- Driver’s license and car
