    About the branch

    The Marketing, Communications & Partnerships Division oversees all marketing, tourism, visitor experience, partnership experience, digital, media, communications and public relations activities to support Parks Victoria.

    The Customer Support team’s primary focus is to deliver consistent and effective communications to increase awareness, support for and understanding through agreed strategies linked to the PV corporate plan, and to create a positive perception of Parks Victoria through excellent issues management. The Customer Support team are key contact points for the community when making a connection with Parks Victoria in regard to public land/water use.

    About the role and your responsibilities:

    As the Customer Support Officer, you will be responsible for the provision of excellent customer service through the issuing of permits on the Parks Victoria estate for events, filming and photography and other short-term commercial activities.

    The primary focus of your role is to assess, prepare and execute permits and any required documentation. You will be the first point of contact for general enquiries as well responsible for keeping up to date information on Parks Victoria systems.

    You will ensure all permitted activities are clearly scheduled, and Parks Victoria staff are aware of changes occurring in the Parks Victoria estate. You will also provide information and guidance to clients and colleagues regarding the permit process.

    To be successful for this role you will need:

    • Certificate or Diploma in Business and/or equivalent experience in a similar field is desirable.
    • Demonstrated experience in the administration of contracts.
    • Demonstrated understanding of the event, tourism or film industry.
    • Demonstrate strong customer service focus both internally and externally.
    • A current Employee Working with Children Check is required.
