Director Aboriginal Tourism, Tourism Western Australia
In this role you will be responsible for the team implementing the Government’s Jina: Western Australian Aboriginal Tourism Action Plan (Jina Plan) with the objective of positioning WA as a premier destination of Aboriginal tourism experiences – through building the capacity of the sector to deliver quality experiences and by encouraging more Aboriginal people to participate in the tourism and hospitality sector.
You will oversee the department’s partnership agreement with the Western Australian Indigenous Tourism Operators Council (WAITOC) while also informing Aboriginal inclusion and engagement within the broader tourism industry and driving the development of the next Aboriginal Tourism Action Plan. As a member of the Destination Development Management team, you will also work collaboratively with fellow Directors to set divisional operational priorities and monitor performance against targets.
If you have experience, passion and commitment to contributing to the growth and sustainability of the State’s Aboriginal tourism sector, then we want to hear from you!
