Position Vacant: Economic Development Officer
The City of Launceston, an award winning Employer of Choice, is currently seeking to fill the following permanent, full time position:
Position Title: Economic Development Officer
Position Number: POS1655This role is responsible for undertaking the implementation of agreed projects and tasks, in line with the City of Launceston Economic Development Strategy, Horizon 2025 or other relevant City of Launceston strategies and will involve working with both internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates, through behaviour, an alignment and an understanding of our values and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in business, management, economics or similar OR 3 years relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience working within Local, State or Federal Governments in economic development activities
- Experience in the preparation and implementation of economic development plans and reports
- Ability to research, analyse and communicate data
- Creative problem solving and collaboration skills
