    Tourism Australia is the Australian Government agency responsible for attracting international visitors to Australia, both for leisure and business events. We are active in 15 key markets and our activities include advertising, PR and media programs, trade shows and industry programs, consumer promotions, online communications and consumer research.

    • About the role

    The Events Coordinator is responsible for providing general administration and operational support of Tourism Australia’s portfolio of global trade events, including the Australian Tourism Exchange and G’Day Australia.

    Some of the key responsibilities include;

    • Delivering exceptional customer service to all delegates and stakeholders
    • Processing all participant data, including registration, accommodation, travel, exhibitor information and all payments
    • Assisting the Industry Events Team in setting up registration websites and content
    • Following up with the industry as required for information that is critical to their participation at the relevant event i.e. Logos, public liability insurance, payments
    • Constantly updating the SRM database with updates to industry contacts

    About You

    • You are passionate about a career in Event Management!
    • You have previous experience in a similar role
    • Your communication skills are exceptional, written and verbal
    • You are able to develop and foster strong working relationships
    • You have exceptional attention to detail
    • You are extremely organised and able to manage competing deadlines and priorities
    • You are a team player with the ability to take ownership of tasks
