About us
Brokenwood Wines has for fifty years operated an award winning winery and cellar door. Two years ago the business opened a new state of the art cellar door and dining facility, with the capacity to host groups from 10 to 500 people. Our Company motto is “Make Great Wine & Have Fun” and we pride ourselves on being a great place to work and visit. This is a newly created role to service the high demand for corporate and private events in the Hunter Valley.
Qualifications & experience
- Experience leading a food and beverage team to deliver small and large scale events is essential. You must be a hardworking and respected leader who can gain the respect and trust of staff at all levels of the organisation.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft applications including the ability to develop basic Excel spreadsheets. Experience with TripleSeat, Tock and/or EzyWine is not essential, but would be highly regarded.
- You are a customer service superstar who thrives on providing an exceptional level of guest hospitality. You will also be a lover of food and wine, with a genuine interest in developing your knowledge.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification is essential.
- You will be organised and have great attention to detail, ensuring event styling and documentation is in line with Brokenwood Marketing standards.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide an end-to-end event management service to all onsite events including working with clients to deliver a seamless experience from promptly responding to the initial enquiry through to seeking post event feedback.
- Develop detailed plans and run sheets for all events, liaising with Head Chef, Food & Beverage Supervisor and Events staff at every stage of the process. Prepare event review forms including financial results and present outcomes to Sales & Marketing Manager on a monthly basis.
- Lead and manage each onsite event, demonstrating by example the best possible customer experience to guests. Coach and develop event staff before, during and after events.
- Promote Brokenwood events at every opportunity including effectively quoting and upselling event packages.
