Tamworth Regional Council is responsible for an incredible range of high quality and exciting events such as the Tamworth Country Music Festival, the National Thunder Motorcycle Rally, the Taste Festival and Fiesta La Peel, as well as a host of other ceremonies and functions for our Council, Sister Cities and community.
We are continuing to plan for the future of our region and currently have an incredibly rare opportunity for an Events Officer to join our team and bring with them their experience in event management across a wide variety of festivals, events, functions and conferences in the music, entertainment, sporting and professional industries.
To be successful in the role, you will bring:
- Advanced Diploma in Event Management/Business or similar OR equivalent relevant experience
- Current Drivers Licence
- Experience in a wide range of operational event management and delivery
- Demonstrated capability in developing strong networks and partnerships and proven track record in stakeholder engagement
It has been classified as a Grade 14 with a salary range of $1,421.50 to $1,538.30 for 35 hours work per week (plus 10% superannuation). Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements. This position may include night and weekend work from time to time based on operational requirements.
