- Contract Full Time (2 years) with an attractive salary package of circa $210,000 per annum (including superannuation + vehicle)
Your new role
The Executive Manager Advance Rockhampton is accountable for leading the recovery, reinvigoration and growth for the region’s economy. It is critical that this position provides Council with a presence for advocacy in forums that provide injections that benefit our region whilst being the connection between Council and our community.
As Executive Manager Advance Rockhampton, you will have a major role in engaging and advocating at a strategic policy level with state and federal governments and ensuring that the City’s interests are well represented in dealings with business, industry and academia.
Your acumen, persona and motivation will assist you to meet the needs of the organisation and be on the forefront of the delivery of the actions in the Operational Plan, specifically in relation to Council’s key focus areas of Industry and Tourism.
You will deliver on Council’s drive for growth and job creation by managing and leading the Advance Rockhampton portfolio. Lead a specialist team of highly motivated professional, technical and administrative staff who stimulate economic development, promote tourism and deliver events within the region. To succeed in the role, you will achieve regional growth and promotion, with emphasis on the creation of a strong robust economy on the back of the impacts of COVID-19.
