A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a casual Festival & Events Officer to join the team at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre.
The Festival & Events officer provides assistance in the planning, management and delivery of a number of Festivals & Events during the year, including but not limited to the Mackay Festival of Arts, Global Grooves and the NYE River Party. The role provides a number of cross department opportunities such as marketing, sponsorship, staging as well as a very hands on event delivery aspect.
The successful applicant will:
- Have extensive experience in festival and event coordination along with developing and implementing effective sponsorship strategies.
- Conceptualise, develop and implement marketing and communication strategies.
- Be confident and skilled in spreadsheets and publishing software and maintaining websites.
- Be passionate about performing arts and understand relevant legal and risk management requirements.
- Proactively identify opportunities contributing effectively and harmoniously to continuous improvement in a supportive team environment.
- Enjoy working within a multidisciplinary team with a positive outlook.
Blue Card – It is an essential requirement for this position to hold a Working with Children Blue Card. Under Queensland legislation, you must hold the Blue Card prior to commencing employment – No Card, No Start policy. Salary and benefit details:
