As we come into severe weather season and Cyclone Jasper approaches Queensland communities, the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) has partnered with the Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport to provide tourism businesses with free access to their online Risk Assessment Tool.

Available at no charge for a limited time until COB Monday 11 December, completion of this essential tool will help your business prepare against potential damage and loss and will:

    • Provide your business with a personalised Risk Assessment.
    • Identify current risks and their implications, outline preventative measures to minimise risk occurrence and provide steps to take should crisis occur.
    • Endorsed by the Insurance Council of Australia, completion of the tool will provide insurance companies with evidence of risk mitigation measures taken and potentially assist with claims processes.
    • Ensure you’re equipped with the knowledge to best help your guests survive a disaster.

We urge all businesses to take advantage of this limited time free offer. Invest a couple of hours in your business by completing the Risk Assessment Tool and take proactive steps to protect your all-important customers, staff and livelihood.

Webinar today: To help you get the most out of the Risk Assessment Tool, QTIC is holding a one-hour webinar today – Friday 8 December – at 12:00pm AEST.
