About the Role
We’re looking for a Head of Strategy to join us at an exciting time as the company focuses on updating our long term strategy and addressing the challenges of the future.
As Head of Strategy, reporting to the General Manager, Investment, this newly created role will be responsible for developing, prioritising and executing company objectives. You will be accountable for cultivating the company’s corporate strategy, enabling our organisation to enjoy a robust executive and board approved growth plan.
Strategic planning will include translating and defining strategy, both short and long term into actionable and quantifiable applications, develop relevant KPI’s to ensure the successful embedment of strategy across the business and be actively involved with budgets ensuring optimistic realisations.
Execution of strategy is paramount to the success of this role, your exceptional stakeholder management skills with ensure you positively lead relevant stakeholders in delivering improvement initiatives from strategic priorities and business needs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to –
- Developing the company’s corporate strategy that enables us to continue to have a robust growth plan in place that is approved annually by the executive team, Board and Shareholders
- Spearhead new growth and expansion opportunities
- Provide direct support to the General Manager, Investment and the CEO and take ownership of key initiatives across the business
- Execute deliverables with a hands-on approach including presentations, financial modelling & analysis
- Look for opportunities to improve profitability and growth and ensure that teams are properly equipped to report on and realise strategic priorities
Overall this is a leadership role and will have regular contact with significant exposure to the CEO, the Executive Management Team Committee and the Board.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated significant Corporate Strategy experience and have successfully worked at an Executive Team and Board level. A proven track record of successfully developing, leading and delivering complex, strategic growth plans. You will possess strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to understand complex information and data.
Skills and Qualifications –
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, economics, finance, statistics or other business related discipline5 plus years, experience in a similar or equivalent role
- Identify and clearly communicate key insights and recommendations to the Business
- Experience developing executive presentations, communications, and financial analysis (budgets, models) with advanced level MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills
The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be a team player and know how to navigate a corporate environment
