The Opportunity
A fabulous career move for an experienced and passionate Tourism and Economic Development Professional exists to join a dynamic team. As the Manager Tourism and Economic Development, you will be responsible for providing advice, leadership, and direction, to promote tourism and economic development within the region.
About You
Are you a passionate about promoting tourism and looking for an exceptional opportunity? As the Manager Tourism and Economic Development, you will have previous experience within a similar role. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required as well as the ability to liaise with external and internal stakeholders to build and maintain relationships. A high level of organisation, priortisation, and time management skills are essential. In addition, you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, tourism, commerce, economics, or similar
- Excellent leadership skills
- Proven ability to achieve results in line with organisational goals and objectives
- Previous local government or regional tourism experience (desirable)
- Knowledge of State and Federal economic development, tourism, business advice and assistance programs
- Excellent customer service
- Attention to detail
- Ability to network
