    Position Description

    We currently have one (1) fixed term full time appointment available for immediate filling, for a period of 12 months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

    The Pilbara Development Commission is seeking a motivated, experienced self-starter to join the agency in the role of Principal Regional Development Officer based in Port Hedland. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a person with the drive and passion for working with regional communities to progress the sustainable development of the Pilbara.

    The Principal Regional Development Officer is responsible for managing specific strategic and complex projects that support the Pilbara Development Commission in achieving its vision, mission and objectives for the development of the Pilbara.

    The role has a strong focus on driving economic development in Port Hedland and in working across all levels of government, community and stakeholders to deliver outcomes that will add value to significant State government investment projects in the town.

    To be successful in this position, the successful candidate will need to have significant experience in working on large, multifaceted projects including within regional settings. They will also need be highly proficient in consultation, collaboration and maintaining working relationships and networks with stakeholders across the public and private sector.
