Position Vacant: Research and Policy Officer
The Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) is seeking a Research and Policy Officer to work within the QTIC team.
Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) is the peak industry body for tourism in Queensland, acting as “The Voice of Tourism”. As a not-for-profit, membership based organisation, we have a small and dedicated team who works energetically with a wide range of partners, businesses and stakeholders to support the growth and sustainability of the tourism industry.
The candidate must demonstrate sound abilities in researching and analysing issues with the ability to apply this to the tourism industry. The candidate must have a tertiary degree in a research-related and/or business discipline (e.g. business, economics, sociology, statistics, politics, sustainability), or demonstrate a high-level of legislative & policy experience.
The candidate must demonstrate excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and have the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and a willingness to take initiative where appropriate. This position supports the secretariat functions of the QTIC Associations Council, the Regional Tourism organisation Network and other sub committees as required by the Chief Executive.
This is a fixed 12-month term, full time position located conveniently in South Brisbane.
The remuneration package is circa $72,000- $80,000 per annum inclusive of superannuation, depending on experience.
