Southern Grampians Shire Council – Events Marketing and Development Officer
Fixed Term – 3 months
Southern Grampians Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest from highly motivated, enthusiastic, energetic and outcome focused individuals to join the Economic Development and Tourism Team. This position works actively in the development and promotion of major tourism, business events and conference opportunities for the region, specifically focusing on those which contribute towards building a strong visitor economy.
Key objectives:
- To develop and maintain partnerships with key tourism and business events networks at the local, regional and state levels.
- To assist in the coordination and implementation of all traditional and digital marketing and promotional activities associated with the tourism and business events sector.
- To provide a high level of customer service, facilitate advice and information to tourism and business events sector stakeholders to assist in the growing and professionalising of events and assisting events to become sustainable.
- To assist in the coordination and implementation of the Shire’s “Tourism and Events Category” of the Greater Grants funding program.
