Tourism and Heritage Coordinator, Shire of Coolgardie
The Shire of Coolgardie invites applications for the role of Tourism Coordinator. This integral position will focus on managing the Coolgardie Visitors Centre & Museum and supporting the operational management and strategic development of tourism initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with a knack for planning and a background in tourism, recreation, or Local Government.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily operations and contribute to the strategic planning of tourism activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance tourism offerings and community engagement.
- Support budget management and the preparation of financial and operational reports.
- Facilitate community-driven tourism projects that promote the Shires rich history.
Experience:
- Experience in tourism or related fields, with an understanding of strategic and community planning.
- Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Competency in financial management and the creation of comprehensive reports.
- A genuine dedication to enhancing community services and visitor experiences.
Offerings:
- A competitive salary ranging from $78,000 to $90,000 (pro rata), inclusive of superannuation and allowances, based on experience.
