Tourism and Marketing Coordinator, Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism
Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism (FPT) is on the lookout for that special marketing expert with a passion for tourism who can lead the marketing and creative functions of the organisation to ensure the Fleurieu Peninsula remains top of mind for consumers.
This is a part-time, parental leave cover role up to 12 months.
No day is the same at FPT and you’ll be required to be self-motivated and highly organised to manage competing priorities, and ad hoc tasks and functions as part of a small team of two. Through strategic marketing, innovative product development, custom industry development programs, we strive to position the Fleurieu Peninsula as the premier destination in South Australia, contributing significantly to the state’s economic and social well-being while preserving our environment for future generations.
As a small team, we support over 1,000 tourism businesses in the region as needed through marketing, industry development, distribution and advocacy. We interface with a range of stakeholders such as small owner operators, large multi-national tourism businesses, Councils, South Australian Tourism Commission, Tourism Australia, Regional Development Australia and our dedicated board made up of industry professionals to name a few.
Key Responsibilities of the Tourism and Marketing Coordinator
Content Creation: Expand our video media gallery, craft regional itineraries, and design eye-catching branded assets with Canva. Oversee content shoot projects and keep consumers informed via EDM’s.
Social Media Management: Create content to boost our social media presence across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Manage multi-channel communication and maintain our brand’s integrity.
Website Management: Ensure our website is always fresh and SEO-friendly. Regularly update content and review ATDW listings. Create and publish blogs.
Events: Plan and coordinate industry events, workshops, and meetings.
PR & Media: Write compelling media releases and coordinate media opportunities to keep the spotlight on Fleurieu Peninsula.
Industry Engagement: Be the go-to Australian Tourism Data Warehouse expert for local tourism operators, providing support and delivering ATDW workshops.
Administration: Keep our operations running smoothly by managing procurement, budgets, meetings and filing systems.
