Parks Australia is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic Tourism and Visitor Experience Officer to join the team for an ongoing role with the Customer Experience and Destination Planning Section, at our Canberra office.
The Tourism and Visitor Experience Officer supports projects and programs to enhance visitor experiences at our iconic destinations.
We’re seeking candidates that are passion about environment, heritage and culture and have demonstrated experience in, and knowledge of, the tourism industry, planning, protected areas and visitor management.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster positive relationships are required for this role, which involves working with internal and external stakeholders Commonwealth, State and Territory government bodies, Traditional Owners, industry groups, tourism businesses and regional/remote communities.
The successful applicant must have an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People.
Flexible employment arrangements are available with the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment
