We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Venue and Events Officer to join our team at Singleton Council. In this role, you’ll make a real impact on the everyday lives of people within our community by achieving important outcomes for Singleton to grow and flourish.

The Civic Centre is a focal point of social and cultural activities in Singleton and is a major venue for social functions, performances, trade displays and seminars in singleton.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Venue and Events Officer to join the Strategy and Engagement team at Singleton Council.
The role
As the Venue and Events Officer, you will be responsible for presenting, operating and promoting the Civic Centre as a high quality function venue that meets the needs of the Singleton Community.
With qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in event and function management, you will actively promote and oversee the Civic Centre Operations; coordinating functions and initiatives related to the Civic Centre. You will also liaise directly with the public, caterers, staff and clients to manage events, promote the Centre and improve usage.
Qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in hospitality or customer service provision is a must
To be successful in this role you must have qualifications and/or be able to demonstrate your experience in hospitality or customer service provision. Ability to work after hours and weekends to suit planned events and functions is a must.
This position is placed at Grade 8 of the salary system attracting between $59,654 to $67,102 per year base salary plus superannuation.
