I love having the opportunity to ensure everyone around the world not only dreams of coming to Australia, a country that has so many quality experiences to offer, but that their dream becomes a reality.Working within the tourism industry for over 15 years now, both as a buyer (Viator) and a supplier (Gray Line Australia), I can help tourism businesses have as much exposure of their brand to travellers and convert this into sales. My years of experience includes being involved with trade distribution, managing a customer service team, also business development and relationship management. I have travelled the world to sell high quality tours to all types of travel buyers.My latest role involved a move to Sydney to work for leading online travel agency Viator (part of the Tripadvisor group). Here I was able to apply my skills in customer service, partnership building and reservation technology to help tourism operators around Australia with their listings on the online platform. This could be anything from troubleshooting with API connections, data analysis to drive sales and understand their markets better and working to find ways to improve the performance of their offerings on the site.Most of my career has been at leading premium coach tour operator Gray Line Australia. Starting out in customer service and then also being involved in sales and marketing, my responsibilities were very broad.I am very proud to work within an industry where we do support and mentor each other, I firmly believe that we are all in it for the same reasons and I love being a part of a greater team. Recently, I was awarded the ATEC Len Taylor Award for Leadership after having been the nominee representing Victoria 2 years prior as part of the Young ATEC branch. At Young ATEC (Victoria), I was part of the committee where I was also for a few years the Vice Chair. Young ATEC is a group where tourism peers can come together to learn, share ideas and network. Being part of the committee involved putting together these events whether they are professional development workshops or social networking gatherings.Due to COVID-19 and the last role being only temporary, I am now available to start a new job, preferably in the tourism industry but I am open to try something new too.
