My mission: to support regional and rural communities to grow their economies through the successful and sustainable development of tourism and events.Since 2008, I have been combining my skills in tourism development, destination marketing and event management, with my absolute passion for regional and rural Australia to grow Tilma Group, a boutique regional tourism and events agency servicing clients throughout regional Australia.Tilma Group employs a dedicated, professional and highly skilled team that works with businesses and organisations of all sizes to achieve one common goal – growing regional and rural Australia! Developing and promoting the industry excites me and every achievement, big or small, drives me to go the extra mile to achieve the best results for my clients and the industry.I have previously worked in tourism, events and development roles in the government, education and private sectors, am a board member on the Australian Regional Tourism Network (ARTN), have been a judge and mentor for the NSW and Qld Tourism Awards, and presented on rural tourism and sustainable events at conferences and summits. My current role takes me to all corners of our country, providing services to Local Government, Regional & State Tourism Organisations, Event Committees, and small business. I have a Bachelor of Business (Tourism) degree, am an accredited Aussie Host trainer and have over 15 years experience in destination, event and marketing strategy; event management; product & experience development; destination branding; successful award and grant submission writing; digital marketing; and capacity building for industry. When I’m not working to make sure the rest of the world knows how good regional and rural Australia is, I’m out enjoying it with my family and friends! I love visiting regional and rural destinations, travelling, playing polocrosse, riding horses, keeping fit and spending time with my family on our Hobby Farm in Southern Queensland!
