Cyril Callister the inventor of Vegemite was born in Chute, Victoria commencing his education at Miners University Ballarat, he went onto become an accomplished food scientist inventing Vegemite and was involved in the creation of Kraft block cheese. The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday 10am to 2pm managed by a team of passionate volunteers, offering visitors a real Vegemite experience.

The museum has a large collection of donated memorabilia and artifacts, there is vegemite merchandise including locally made Chocolate Vegemite Oreo’s and Vegemite on Toast candle just to name a few.

Entrance is a few gold coins, Group bookings are a real treat approx 1 hour – that include a museum tour, a cuppa and a Chocolate Vegemite Oreo and viewing of the video narrated by grandson Jamie Callister. Please contact Liza 0414 082 754 to organize your groups booking.
