I’ve spent 30+ years making a success of awards and events.
In the same year that Jurassic Park won an Academy Award, a client asked for assistance with their awards. Long story short, I began a quest to build unparalleled knowledge on how to make excellence awards programs, awards events and award entries world-class. I’ve also discovered that knowledge is fun to share, through group and one-on-one mentoring, workshops and courses.
I live in and love regional Australia. That’s why I started Awards Absolute’s Activate Regional Australia program in 2018, and this has turned me into a digital nomad, working from wherever clients are in need of our services with a base-station in Queensland. Then I helped launch the Grey Nomad Awards (national niche tourism awards for operators and destinations which cater to over 50s), the Australian Street Art Awards (a Tourism Awards for Public Art program) and the Art of Attraction Tourism Summit.
My extensive events experience (such as former Chair of Meetings & Events QLD, co-founder of the ILEA (ISES) Queensland chapter, former Director – Tourism Sunshine Coast, TAFE tourism and events teacher, and guest university lecturer) is now also helping regional Australia through Events Tourism Associates, a collaborative festival, regional event and event tourism consultancy established by leading researcher and producer, Dr David Gration.I’m blessed and feel privileged.
