In 2021 I started a new role as Project Officer with the Department of Regional NSW. Our team was responsible for delivering tourism grant projects for Regional NSW, including the Regional Events Acceleration Fund and the Regional Tourism Activation Fund. In September 2022, I moved to a new team, delivering infrastructure projects, and in February 2023 I was promoted to Senior Project Officer in the Economic Programs team, responsible for the delivery of tourism infrastructure programs. I consider Accessibility and Inclusion (A&I) a key aspect of the visitor economy and events landscape, and advocate for this to be incorporated in planning stages, rather than as a nice-to-have or tacked on at the end.

Prior to working for the NSW Government, I was responsible for the marketing of the Snowy Valleys region of NSW as visitor destination, working closely with the economic development, events and community development staff at Snowy Valleys Council. I delivered the destination rebranding, growing the social media presence, managing the design of new digital assets including new destination website and in-region visitor app, design and delivery of a new visitor guide and new visitor merchandise. I managed the delivery of new photography and film assets commissioned as part of the rebrand, and delivered the “Come find us” marketing campaign for the Snowy Valleys, in the shadow of the region’s recovery after the Black Summer bushfires that devastated the area.

I have previously worked in a range of industries including publishing, events, and the wine industry, and have extensive experience in marketing, sales, administration and event management. I spent 18 months as Deputy Chair of Visit Riverina; a marketing collective for the visitor economy in the Riverina aimed at ‘experience enthusiasts’.
